Political Party of Admission Officers?

I was just wondering if AOs tended to be liberal/democratic as opposed to conservative/republican. I have lots of extra curriculars focused around Democratic Politics and wouldn’t want to have any bias against me when applying. Thanks!

I would assume they generally lean left, especially at top tier schools, but you don’t wanna create any sort of bias in your application. Describe or pm me your EC’s and I’ll help you out.

Not to worry. But make sue you know what your target colleges look for, what they say.

I agree with @EliteKnight; adcoms generally lean left (unless you apply to a college with a conservative climate/campus). Colleges legally cannot turn away a student based on political ideas, sexuality, income, etc. - you should not be worried. Don’t take off EC’s because you’re afraid of bias; it won’t happen. With most schools it is obvious whether they lean left or right- for example, Claremont McKenna is known for being a little more conservative, and Brown is obviously strongly left-leaning. But, don’t let this scare you away from admissions- political involvement shows concern for world issues and involvement in the larger community, which will look good to all colleges. If you are really worried, you could not list the party/politician’s name,
