Hello, here's an international student from Spain. I got my acceptance letter yesterday... Im so happy!!! I was actually very surprised, because I expected the decision to be released in April!!!
I just want to know how's Wake's political science program. I would also like to know how is its Pre-law program and whether WFU has a hard core curriculum.
I also welcome any other comments or tips about WFU!!!
Thank you very much!!!!

Please, your comments could really help me!!!

Political Science is a very popular major. I have heard all good things from friends that are in it- except that it can be sometimes difficult to get into the classes that you want because there are so many students in the major.

Like at most schools, there is not a specific pre-law program. Anyone can apply to law school and I do not think that law school prerequisites are very stringent. There are a lot of aspiring lawyers at Wake Forest.

I love the Poli Sci department at Wake.

I agree with everything FlyLikeAPenguin said. There is no pre-law curriculum per say, but you can join pre-law groups on campus. For example, I signed up to receive pre-law emails, so they send me e-mails about speeches and trips related to law. Also, the school recommends that if you are pre-law you take certain classes (econ, etc) but as a pre-law student you will not be required to take a single class :)

The actual curriculum at Wake is demanding, but it used to be worse. It is very doable. For example, I don’t really like math or science, and I have to take two classes in this category, but I can take Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics … or more abstract courses (Astronomy, math classes more about the theory of math than math itself, Computer Science, or Bio, Chem, or Physics “for non-majors”). Definitely demanding, but not “hardcore”. People complain about it sometimes but it really is a good way to explore different areas of study, and there will definitely be a class in each category that you will enjoy :)

I hope this helps! Congratulations on your acceptance! I hope to see you this fall.
