is it a good idea to into law after majoring in political science?? or is there something else I should major in before going into law?
What are my options?

Well must law students major in political science during undergrad, it really doesnt matter as long as you have a high GPA, high LSAT, and good internship experience. Some people choose to major in public policy, anthropology, english, psychology, history…the options are limitless

Philosophy is a good option as well (I generally recommend it as a double-major). The skills philosophy teaches are invaluable in the practice in law, and it’s been shown that, on average, philosophy students score better on the LSAT than almost all other majors.

There is no specific major you need to have to apply to law school. I know people who majored in English, Mandarin, Art History, Economics, Accounting (and the list goes on and on) who have been very successful in getting into law school. Political Science is fine as a major as well. You need to be able to read, write, and think.
