political science

I am an undecided major right now, and thinking about going into political science and is going into law after. but I have a few questions.

1) is political sci a good major to choose if you want to go into law?

2) or should I go into law right away?

what are my options?

How would you go into law right away?

You finish your undergraduate degree before attending law school. You can major in anything and go to law school, and there are no prerequisite courses like there are for med school.

Please go to the Law School forum and read some of the threads there to get a better understanding of how law school works.

Law schools just want people who can write really well, can reason and think. You can major in just about anything and go to law school. My friend was a French and 18th Century Art double major and went on to law school…

Thank you,you seem to have the answer that makes the most sense plus thank u for explaining unlike the arragonts up there.

Lots of people major in PoliSci and then go on to law school. You can pick anything you’re interested in.

It’s a good idea to take plenty of writing-intensive courses though, regardless of whether they’re major or non-major courses for you. I’d also suggest taking a logic course.
