Is this a useless major?
What can I actually do with a B.A. in it?
What type of jobs can I get? How is the job market for this current major?
How is the pay for this career?
Thank you!

im actually majoring in political science myself and i think the major could serve a lot of purposes…but you kind of need a clearer idea of what you want to do with it. and you will most likely have to get your masters.
but fields that you could get in to would be some sort of public office whether it be an elected position or within the bureaucracy, you could work on others’ campaigns/ administration, if you are also interested with journalism you could get involved in the political media, you could go on to law school and become a lawyer or paralegal, if you focused in international relations/comparative politics within your major you could work for a U.S. embassy, you could perhaps get involved in activism if there are any issues that you are passionate about, you could be a lobbyist for a company.
and if nothing else is available, you could get a boring office job :p

those are just the things i could think of off the top of my head. no doubt there are many other options.
ohh and the pay varies a lot, but if you don’t get a masters, it probably won’t be very high
