I'm looking for good poli sci schools, I haven't been able to find a lot looking though websites and booklets, and lets face it, there's just too many schools out there. I'm hoping that one of you would be able to help me out with at least some names of schools that you've heard have a good poli sci program. Your help would be very much appreciated!

yale, princeton, swarthmore, emory, vassar, oberlin, harvard, stanford, ucal @ berkeley, macalester, wesleyan, georgetown

don't forget OSU's #4 ranked (world-wide) poli sci dept.

Do you have a specific area of interest in poli sci?

Thanks I'll check those out. I'm mostly interested in international affairs and world issues. Are there different schools that specify in certain areas of poli sci?

I'm also interested in political science, as well as international affairs, classical civilizations, and anthropology. When it comes to prospective schools, I'm applying to several, including Indiana University-Bloomington, Colgate (my top choice for an LAC; it's not the highest ranked but it has my perfect campus), and UC Davis which is the most convenient since it's literally just twenty minutes away from home. Which may or may not be a good thing, lol. I want to know, how are the departments I mentioned above in those three schools, particularly Colgate?

do any of you know if Tufts or JOhn Hopkins is a good place for pol sci or international relations?

Tufts is excellent for IR and likely so for poli sci as the two usually coorelate.

The Polisci department at UR is extremely strong (A lot of the pieces we read are actually done by our professors which is pretty neat)
But it is also extremely difficult. In a class of 75 kids, i was one of 6 A's which isn't alot...

How is Pol Sci at Stony Brook?
