I am going to apply RD and am debating whether to choose to apply to the Honors Program or the Politics and Values program. Politics and Values seems to be more in tune with my major (International Affairs), but it is only a 1 year program. If you can please offer some insight into the two along with (if applicable) why you chose either one.

In my opinion (coming from someone who was in neither) I think the biggest advantage to both programs is the networking. Making friends and surrounding yourself with like-minded people is one of the biggest challenges/stresses a first-year will experience. Getting into a group like either will help you make friends and find others that can challenge you academically (in a good way).
