PPE - Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. I just recently discovered this major when I visited UPenn. Now UPenn has an amazing program, I mean you can take classes in the Wharton school of business even, but I realize it's an Ivy and they are VERY tough to get into. Now on Collegeboard they don't list PPE as a major you can search for, so down to the question.

Does anyone know of any colleges that offer PPE as a major? Is it a popular major? Do you think if they don't offer it I cold try and combine some majors?

Thanks to any info, or even another site that might lust colleges by major.

Look for schools that allow you design your own major and those with good political science, economics, and philosophy programs, especially those which allow you to or suggest that you specialize within a subfield (such as political philosophy). Really, you have to ask yourself what you like about the major, and I bet in many cases you can do something similar at many schools by majoring in political science or economics or philosophy and taking certain elective classes on your own, or find a school which allows you to design your own major (and many do).

Not so much, but I don't think that's too meaningful. It's still sounds cool even if it isn't that wide-spread.

PPE is very close to the study known as International Political Economy. Many universities offer this concentration, which is the same as PPE. You might also consider the option of forming your own major. Or, you can take many classes in political theory and comibine that knowledge with economics.

DRab suggests a good idea. Choose a school that allows you to design your own major. Most, if not all, University of California (UC) campuses allow you to design your own major.

Heck, Berkeley even has Political Economies of Industrial Societies major, or a legal studies major, or amazing philosophy, political science, economic, and sociology programs (or whatever you need for the major), and it also has the ability to create your own major. Yay, GO BEARS. :)
