[Poll] How much do you study every day?

<p>Hours per day doing mandatory homework: 2-3 hours

September to November I have marching band, which probably averages out to 3 hours a day, including weekends.
November to February I have Orchestra, which is one hour a week.
January to April I have Jazz Band, which is 3 hours a day without weekends.

<p>It certainly feels like a lot of work at times. My world cultures teacher literally gives projects as soon as we finish the previous one.</p>

<p>Honestly, all the times vary by the day of the week and how much homework I get.</p>

<p>Hours per day doing mandatory homework: 2-5. It depends on so many variables, including how nice my teachers are that day, how much I’ve procrastinated, how much I procrastinate while doing homework, etc.
Hours per day reviewing/studying for tests, etc: 0-2. Depends on the class the test is in; I do a lot of studying in other classes, at breakfast, at lunch, etc. though.
Optional: Hours per day doing ECs (list them):
Soccer/ 2-3 hours, around 3 days a week (practice or game).
Best Buddies/ 1 hour, one day a week at least (meeting or activity).
National Honor Society/ 1 hour on Tuesday & Thursday (tutoring & meeting).
Spanish Honor Society/ 1 hour, once a month (meeting).
Other random things that come up…NHS events, volunteering, Relay for Life, etc./ 4 hours a week.

University(s) you’re realistically reaching for: Realistically? Haha, what does this mean?.. but anyway – accepted EA to UChicago 2017, hoping for an acceptance to Columbia as well. Those are my top two.</p>

<p>Hours per day doing mandatory homework: 20 minutes for all my classes except AP Human Geography. Most times, I can just do the homework when its assigned in class. However, AP Human requires that I do surveys, analyze houses, conduct interviews, etc. So for that class, its probably more like 1 hour a day.</p>

<p>Hours per day reviewing/studying for tests, etc: 0. I scan over things before I take a test, but that’s all. But reviewing/preparing for competitions takes up ~2 hours a day.</p>

<p>Hours per day doing mandatory homework: Generally 0, but this is only because my classes mostly stop assigning homework after spring break. It peaked at about 30 minutes this year, but most of the time that would consist of one day with 2 hours or so and a few others with little or none.</p>
