POLL:Notre Dame or Emory

Right now I'm really confused as to which school I would attend. I'm leaning towards Emory, but it's too close to call months in advance of when to decide. For those who wish to help me, please pick which college you would attend and why. Thanks in advance for all your help!

bump...........

Notre Dame, because its an all around good school.

Emory: nicer campus, better reputation (IMO), better city (Atlanta is awesome), and it just sounds fun. ;)

Notre Dame because I'm gonna apply to it :)

Emory by far, no contest. ND is THE MOST overrated university in the country. The only reasons people think ND is good is because they have a good football team and loyal alums. The academics are subpar and its reputation in the corporate is world is not as good as other schools.

at least that's my opinion, take it or leave it.

Emory for three reasons:

1) Better location. Atlanta beats South Bend, any day of the decade!

2) Better weather.

3) I went to Michigan. Notre Dame makes my sick!!! LOL

Unless you want to work in the Southeast, I would suggest Notre Dame.
IMO, its's an excellent all-around school that is renowned nationally for both its academics and sports.

If it gives you any idea, I turned down both Michigan and USC to go to Notre Dame.

VM does make a point. Notre Dame does have a better national reputation than Emory...and its alumni network is very strong. I would not recommend Notre Dame over Michigan, but I would admit that in some ways, it is better than Emory. But I would really base your decision on what makes you happier. Emory is an awesome university...as is Notre Dame.

Notre Dame, most people have never heard of Emory.

notre dame cause i got accepted EA

DUDE neither. Maybe I'm just not into the whole whitebread conservative aristocracy thing.

Notre Dame.. considering that if they accept me my decision will be made before I next blink. I love the school, everyone I know that goes there really loves it and my visits have been amazing. The school spirit and student interaction, along with the whole residential setup.. ND is just amazing.

Alexandre, since I am considering business, which school is more respected in the corporate world?

Would the "placement" (or whatever its called) be better at Emory because it is in a great city for jobs?

Thanks for all the posts guys!

esrajay, Goizueta and Mendoza are both highly respected Business programs. Emory is ranked slightly higher and since it is located in a major city along with other great universities like Georgia Tech, I would say that Emory has a slight advantage. But Notre Dame has excellent connections thanks to its very strong network. So I would say it is a tie. You should go where you feel more comfortable.

I've been to Emory, and my cousin currently attends Emory.I hate the place. The kids are all very rich preppy kids.Unless you are into that, then I suggest to look elsewhere. However,Atlanta is a great place. That would be the only reason I would consider Emory. His girlfriend goes to Notre Dame, she loves it, but I know nothing about it.

Are there not rich and preppy students at all the prestigious (expensive) universities?

Of course there are, but Emory seems to have the majority of them.Basically everyone you see on campus is white, rich and preppy.

Emory is awesome.. maybe cuz my brother went there and I have seen the campus. Its a beautiful campus . Actually some students there are insanely rich.. Some students own mansions and cars ect. .but there is always filthy rich kids in private uni.. I have also heard that few girls there have their own private jet...

Notre Dame has a better national reputation and tis alumni network dwarfs Emory which many people never heard of.
