someone posted the passage on a previous page. and sorry, by 2nd sentence i meant first part of 2nd sentence and by 3rd sentence i meant 2nd part of 2nd sentence

Prideful: 15
Reliant: 5

Mass: 3
Water/Air: 13

^^^^

I put prideful/ water & air (though water/air was just a guess hahah)

Oh yea someone did post the passage. Anyways, I really think this question was a ****ty subjective question and should be thrown out .

the science question asked why mesh bags were used. it was to record the change in mass becuase that was measured/in the graphs. idk why so many ppl say water/air

You apparently misunderstood.

the first part of the second sentence does not say that the reading was from the government. It says the reading was from the WRIGHT BROTHER’s INSTRUMENTS. You misread it.

“Our instruments, which were more delicate and more accurate than the Government’s” any non ■■■■■■■■ person would realize that it’s implied

I put Concerned…as in concerned that their reading was not the same as the government and OFFICIAL reading of 27

Prideful, Mass for me.

Prideful: 16
Reliant: 5

Mass: 4
Water/Air: 13

I’m not going to lie guys, I think you’re wrong on the water/air thing. The experiment was about mass moving in and out and the chance of wood litter or whatever. I’ve gotten 36s on Science every time I’ve taken it. So, yeah. Anyway, if you’re right, good for you. Don’t need another science 36.

then why did you say this?

In your first sentence, you said that the first part of the second sentence in that paragraph, the reading from the government was mentioned. It was NOT. It was the reading from the instruments of the WRIGHT BROTHERS.

Morning brought with it a twentyseven-mile gale. Our instruments, which were more delicate and more accurate than the Government’s, made it a little over twenty-four; but the official reading by the United States was twenty-seven miles an hour.

pretty sure it says government in the first part of the 2nd sentence

^yes but it wasn’t the GOVERNMENT’s READING. It was the reading of the instruments owned by the Wright Brothers.

exactly… i dont really know what youre arguing about lmao

You said that in the first part of the second sentence, the government’s reading was mentioned. It wasn’t

Prideful

Water/Air

Our instruments, which were more delicate and more accurate than the Government’s, made it a little over twenty-four

^you still don’t understand my point.

Prideful, and the wrong answer for the science one (:()

Prideful/water

Prideful:19
Reliant:5

Mass:4
Water/Air: 15
*i updated for those who didnt

I said Prideful/ water

Prideful:20
Reliant:5

Mass:4
Water/air: 16

I just felt a sense of pride from the Wright Bros because they knew their instruments were more accurate, and if their readings were more accurate, why would they be reliant on the Gov’s?

Does anyone remember the exact mass vs. water/air question? I am totally blanking on what the phrasing was for that part.
