Just a fun poll! I want to see what you liked best and did not like at all!

I personally cannot respond, because I am currently taking AP European History which is my first AP class ever...and I don't like it TOO much. I still enjoy it though. Just have nothing else to base it off of.

@skieurope - I was in the unfortunate position of actually loving US History prior to APUSH - I had gotten a 100 in the corresponding prerequisite (H. US History I) – so I thought APUSH would be a way to explore and develop my passion for history. Wrong. I was wrong. APUSH was a hell hole.

@skieurope
It was the aggregation of a bunch of smaller things that collectively made it terrible - the entire course was note-based; our homework was always notes, the classwork was notes, the vacation work was notes - notes galore; rarely did we have intelligent discussion about the material - the most talking we did as a class was the teacher would answer questions we had about the previous night’s reading before instructing us to continue on with our notes for the rest of class. It was a massive workload for something as mindless as note taking - 30+ pages of reading a night - I often had more work for that class than all of my other classes combined.

I love history - including (and especially) American history - and my experiences in other history courses (AP World History, AP US Politics and Gov, DE Sociology, DE European History) have been far better than APUSH. It was just a sour experience - it is by God’s good graces that I actually passed the exam, because that class rendered my Sophomore year brain into absolute mush.

Favorite: APBIOAPBIOAPBIO
Least favorite: AP US Gov
Neither of these is a reflection on the teachers- it all depends on whether or not I find the material interesting. I love biology and I don’t give two hoots about government.
As far as teachers are concerned, ironically, those are the two AP classes I had the best teachers in… my others were/are kind of horror shows. But the material is interesting.
