Out of the 7 I have taken, I can for sure say AP Lit is my least favorite AP. This could also be because of my teacher.
English was never one of my favorite subjects and I never really had to spend any time on it to get an A, but this class hit me like a train. I went from getting all As on my essays to Bs and Cs. It’s like they expect you to be professionals or something. Also, there is SOOOOOO much homework! I’ve had more homework in this class than all of my other classes combined. It’s ridiculous.
Another thing, the AP test is really dumb. Most literature is very ambiguous, so how do they expect you to do well on a multiple choice part of analyzing a poem/article?
AP Physics is my least favorite AP. I don’t know if I have a bad teacher or I just don’t understand the material but I just can’t seem to comprehend physics as a whole. I much prefer AP Chemistry over physics.
All of them.
AP US Gov is by far the worst. I despise that class and all the annoying surprise FRQ’s it is comprised of. It’s boring, redundant, and is comprised of few things to which I could express even the slightest degree of interest.
I’ve only taken one, because I’m a sophomore.
As far as the material, I absolutely LOVE AP US History. However, the insane amount of reading and writing when it comes to note taking, as well as the fact of having to memorize close to 500 years of history makes it a lot of torture. If you are interested in taking the class, PLEASE (for your own good) take regular US history beforehand. Your life will be saved tremendously!!!
APUSH was only hell on Earth because we got a huge workload (upwards of three/four hours a damn night). I like history but the class almost killed it for me.
For me, AP Bio has been the worst, but mostly because of the teacher. She hasn’t done much AP prep, makes every test open-book, goes on random tangents, yet complains that none of us could get to a 3. That being said, I find the material interesting.
I haven’t even taken it, but AP Calc BC is still my least favorite. I cannot begin to fathom what goes on in that class, and I have no desire to find out.
AP Econ- abstract, oversimplified, and uninteresting.
