<p>any one know how big it is? Since the gym is gonna be closed Im wondering if its big enough for me to swim laps?</p>
<p>It’s more of a recreational pool. It is not big enough to do laps.</p>
<p>Are they closing the outdoor pool on campus while the new Rec Center is completed? What about the swim teams? Where will they practice?</p>
<p>They apparently have the Anderson pool (which is connected to the Mott Gym) open for lap swim, at least over the summer. And, the swim team has always practiced in the Anderson pool, even back when it was a 5 lane wide 25 yard pool that didn’t even have lane markers in the bottom. I even swam a practice there once, back when I was considering poly swimming. </p>
<p>Oh, and I think Poly Canyon’s pool can up 2x25 yard lanes, however I’ve never seen anyone acctually swim laps there.</p>
