For visitors to the Pomona section of CC, I thought it would be better if this information was easy to find. 9.76% of the applicants were accepted for the class entering in 2015. Pomona is aiming for a class of 405. Last year there were 450 freshmen, a record number which is too large for the college to maintain year after year.
Regarding class sizes, two years ago, Pomona had to add 73 WL admits to reach just below 400 enrolled students. The year before, they needed 11 to get to 399.
The yield at the 5C school has jumped considerably in the past years. Just as the selectivity has reached new heights (with the lowest admission rates) in the country, the yields are now in the 50% percent range, which is very high for LACs.
