I've been checking this board daily for someone to receive their first letter... Come on I'm so anxious! Anyone hear back yet?

I've been doing the exact same. It seems that in previous years, many people who were accepted received the letter early because it was sent via priority mail, so I have been a bit worried since I nothing came today (so there is no way I will receive it early). However, apparently no one on CC has received an acceptance yet, so they may just be sending them out a bit later this year. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the 20% increase in applications and couldn't finish as early.

By the way, I live in the midwest, so that may affect when I get the decision.

I live in CT so, try that on for size, haha.
They were still "deliberating" yesterday around 3PM. (I didnt ask them that, my school newspaper called them to ask them a few questions about admissions and no one was available to talk becuase they were busy conferencing about early decisions.)
How am I going to even get a letter by Monday then? Ahhh.

It's interesting that they were still deliberating. I know that I absolutely need to hear no later than Wednesday so I can tell the college counseling office not to send in the ED2 form to another college (if I am deferred).

Same. I have to have all my other stuff given to my guidance counselor on Monday if I get deferred so they have "time to collect and package" before Jan1 deadlines.

Interesting. I'm also in CT and got nothing. That deliberating thing is probably because they've gotten so much more than they're used to.

Although, I wonder if they sent any decisions already, or if they're all sent at once?

I'm eagerly awaiting a letter as well and I live in Northern CA, so I should find out first if anyone is going to get a letter before the 15th. The mail came today and didn't receive anything, but I'll keep you midwest and east coasters posted!

According to this post, there was one notification in the Montclair NJ, SD this week

Hm. Maybe they did send out certain decisions earlier. I know one person who got a decision on Thursday.

^
That's a really old article. Not from this year.

The montclair post is from 2005

So sorry!

i live 30 minutes away and i haven't received any notification yet either

I live in NY and I have a bad feeling that my letter won't arrive by tomorrow, what do you think my chances are? And is admissions definitely not doing any sort of notification by email? (It seems like it would be in their best interest to do so...)

Yeah I really am not confident about getting a letter by tomorrow... And they don't do email notification or anything online, I asked. UGH. I'm leaving school 6th period to check my mail anyway though.

Roivon, where in CT are you? I'm Stamford

Yeah just in case my Mom is going to the post office in the morning to try to intercept our mail. I find this so frustrating, I don't understand why they can't do online notification.

I'm in Ridgefield, Arimyg.

I applied ED to Bowdoin so i am in the same situation. they only send out letters by snail mail.
and I live in idaho...so it pretty much opposite you guys...needless to say...we get the longer wait times.....
arggh

zfox: Good luck at bowdoin! i have a great friend there now. It looks like an awesome place, but too cold for me. :)

Any letters received today? I'm guessing mine will get here around thursday...
