GPA W: 5.2

Hooks: 1st generation college, 4 time legacy, half native-american

theres more, but i don’t want to bore you guys!

To those of you accepted, how was your FA packet?
Mine was HORRIBLE, we ask us to pay more than our actual income!
I’m filing an appeal, I was just wondering how things worked out for the rest.

Just got an acceptance letter in the mail today! So excited!

Congrats to everyone else accepted! To those who were rejected or waitlisted - don’t beat yourself up. College admissions are extremely unpredictable, and a lot of broken hearts is an unfortunate and unavoidable result of that. I’m sure you’ll be able to thrive wherever you end up!

@Fani95 My package was decent, although the lack of loans makes it appear worse than it is (as I understand, you can still take out unsubsidized Stafford loans, but that’s a self-initiated process, and is not included in the package).

It was a large envelope, medium thickness (package included a nice folder, very thin info booklet, fin. aid packet, and a few other papers) . And yes, it came via USPS (something called UPS Mail Innovations, apparently a joint venture with UPS; comes with the regular mail though).

Finally … he’s in! I’m a little shocked as they called his GC about one of his midyear grades. Best FA he’s received. I didn’t think it was really still in the running, but he was excited about the news!

I talked to the Admission Office Staff today because none of my Questbridge friends were accepted (out of a good 50-60), wondering if there was a possible thing with mailings.

They are using a new system this year with UPS Innovations, and all the acceptances were sent out this way- there was no priority for acceptances. Heavier posts, like acceptances, take longer to ship, so very few as of now know that they have been accepted. Lighter letters like rejections and waitlists were sent out faster through regular postal service.

In other words, if you haven’t heard back yet, the odds are with you in getting an acceptance, though it’s possible, yet less likely, to recieve a waitlist or rejection.

Good luck to all who haven’t heard yet-

PS: This applies for domestic applications- I do not know how international letters were handled.
