@cali2023 I haven’t received any request from them. Are you in IB?
@cali2023 I haven’t received it either…
In past years, knowing whether or not GCs have received requests for progress reports has not been an indicator for an ED1 decision one way or another, so don’t put a lot of credence/worry into whether or not one has been requested for you! As has been noted, there have been some indications that decisions will come out this Friday (usually it’s at 5pm PT). Good luck to all!!!
nope I go to a public high school in CA. I don’t even know what IB is. It’s possible that my adviser sent my transcript before actually getting a request. From what he said, it seemed like they asked for it, but I’m not 100% sure what the situation is. As someone else said, I don’t think getting or not getting a request can really tell you anything definitive about your status so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Are there any Indians applying ED to Pomona???
By the way @cali2023 what are your stats?
Just my #s, no EC’s or anything:
SAT: 1540 (780 math, 760 English)
SAT II: 800 Math II, 750 US History
GPA: 3.95 UW, 4.375 W
AP: APUSH (5), AP Chem (4), AP Spanish Lang & Culture (4)
I also have pretty strong legacy (not sure how much Pomona cares about this though)
Dude, you’ve got a great chance. ?
@HitarthS Keeping my fingers crossed! You can never tell with such low acceptance rates.
Good luck to everyone
@cali2023 I’ve got 1530 SAT, SATII 790 math, 760 Chemistry, GPA 3.9 Unweighted 4.5 weighted, AP chem, Calc BC, English language, STATs all. No legacy though
We have pretty similar stats. Good luck.
I’ve got a 1490. Physics 800 Chemistry 800 and. Math 2 800 percentage is 93. I’ve got like 4 APs and 5 on all of em. I am from India
Hopefully, the decisions come out Wednesday. Do you guys think that being a Quest Bridge Finalist will give me a leg up in admissions? I ranked Pomona as one of my colleges, but I was not matched with them. Also, will being a first-generation low-income Asian count as a URM??
everyone is posting their SAT subject scores but the admissions office emailed me and said “We don’t use SAT Subject Tests in our admissions process at all, so there’s no advantage to reporting them to us” when I asked them how to report subject tests
If this year is like the past 5 or so, decisions will be available on your portal this Friday (12/14) at 5 PST!
But the subject tests show academic strength. That’s it. They’re not a deciding factor.
Is there any Indian appling ED1??
@HitarthS I’m an Asian (Indian) female but I’m a US citizen. Do you mean international applicant from India or ethnically indian?
No. I mean international applicant from India.
I am asking as I just want to get a rough idea of the applicant pool from India.
I’m confused by all of this speculation about the date that ED decisions will be released because Pomona’s website says they’ll be released by Saturday, 12/15. Does that mean that decisions could be released before then? I was under the impression that that was the date we’d find out
