^^ I agree! LACs really use holistic admissions. My ACT was a 32 (superscore 33) which is around a 2150 I think. That’s not a 2300 but I really believe my supplemental essay (the fun one) really made me stand out as well as my common app essay. College admissions really aren’t about numbers–altho I’m sure my GPA and academic schedule were also factors. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!!

In with a 2220! I’d say fit and ecs are just as important. Nothing will ever compare to the long walk to my mailbox. I was completely expecting a rejection.

Scholarship money can affect finaid offers, so be careful.

Nothing in NC :(.

@Viscous Me too. =/. It’s okay. Is Pomona your top school?

@k0r3ansheki Have some faith=D. It’ll be okay. I’ve been pretty disappointed, too. I cried so much when Pomona waitlisted me.If it makes you feel any better I got rejected by a two schools also. X_x

I had a 1830 (and that’s best sitting)
BUT a 4.5 W GPA
And I used my QB app
Accepted and going :D

^1830? That’s wonderful.

^^I actually had worst than that. But I only took it one time and I was so sick that day. However, my ACT was a 29 both times I took it. (don’t know how to superscore) So I’m glad that they considered the best test scores from each test.

@judgemental

I definitely don’t think that 2240 is low (not the best xD), but when I was looking at the scores on the first page of the decisions thread, I felt rather swamped by the mass of 2330+'s, like math.
Looks like after giving it a day, more normal scores are being reported, which is making me feel better too hah…

Anyone heard from Pomona in Colorado?

^Nothing here in Broomfield. Expecting it tomorrow.

international here, and still waiting… you’d think they’d email us the decisions to not make the wait so torturesome especially when we can see all you guys getting in and stuff… congrats everyone, but im super torn between being totally ****ed and utterly miserable waiting… atleast i have a couple other LACs in the bag…

^ Some of my friends in China already got their Fedex packages. So I’d say internationals should expect the packages in a day or two. That is, if they are admitted.

Thanx mathematicism… that helps… I’m from Pakistan, and since China’s not far, I guess its time to start hounding the mail guys day and night. But for the last part of your response, “that is if they are admitted”… aren’t we going to be notified by mail about our rejections too??? We are, right…?

ACCEPTED!

Fedex package arrived today in South Korea!!!

Anyone from China get their packet yet? I’m getting a little worried ): And is it safe to assume that, if one international kid doesn’t get a fedex while other kids from the same city gets them, he/she didn’t get accepted?

@carsonpwns

I think you might receive it tomorrow then! I had to go to the post office (like a crazy person) after hours to beg them to give it to me… I knew it was here only because they left a slip at our house saying that they tried to deliver the package but nobody was home :/

Living in Shanghai, China. Nothing received. Staying optimistic.

In India. Nothing yet. Although I’m asking for full FA, and seeing that Pomona is need aware for Internationals and admits such a small student body…I’m not optimistic about the result.
Sad. I love this school.
If this is true, then I’m assuming that I’m rejected starting Wednesday. Just going to wait for Tuesday mail. If it’s reaching Hong Kong today, then it should reach India tomorrow. Especially since I thought mail takes longer to reach China than India? (correct me if I’m wrong, I hope to god that I am!)

Accepted In Colorado!!!

When I went to get the mail, the Pomona envelope was sandwiched between big envelopes from Grinnell and Middlebury, and I didn’t see it… My heart kinda fell a little bit, then when I was walking up the driveway, the Pomona envelope fell out of the pile and I almost wet myself :P.

I had the “In at Pomona” tab earlier this week. According to my calculations, that’s 9 reported acceptances by people with the tab and 0 rejections.
