Pomona College supplementary essay (I need help)!

I simply can't think of anything for the Pomona College supplementary essay. Any ideas?
Thanks!

I really don’t think it’s a trick question. You can’t think of anything fun? What have you been doing for all of high school?!
No, really. I wrote about a camping trip for mine. Just pick something you enjoyed.

I’ve had almost no life in HS…personal reasons I prefer not to discuss in the forum. What about ideas for the other prompt (significant experience in HS)?

Well, why don’t you write about how you having no life in high school affected you? How will you apply what you learned from your “no-lifedness” to your college experience?

I personally wrote about how I went to a school I absolutely HATED, and how I had to learn that changing one’s attitude makes a huge, huge, huge difference on everything. The school might’ve still been a complete joke, but keeping a positive attitude about it was much more helpful than moping about how much my life sucked. Consequently, in college, I can handle whatever difficulties come my way because I’ve already learned to look at things positively.

If you seriously haven’t had much fun, I am not sure Pomona is the school for you. My son is in his first year, and students there are super smart (my son says he is the least talented/smart student there!) and involved in many activities for fun–and just for fun.

My son had trouble thinking of a topic last year and he finally came to me and
asked, “What have I done exclusively for fun?” I reminded him of a day that he came home just beaming, and he wrote about that one, very specific instance, a run he had with some of his buddies. The piece he wrote was long, but the event he wrote about took place over the course of a few hours. Sooooo, the event you write about doesn’t have to be a huge part of your life, but rather it could be one event.
