Pomona Physics?

I'm going to major in Physics--I know Harvey Mudd would be the "better" school for Physics of the Claremont colleges, but can anyone tell me how the Physics program is there, and if it's worth it?

My son is a freshman at Pomona this year, with the intent of majoring in Physics. He was also accepted to Harvey Mudd, but chose Pomona because it was a better overall fit for him. He’s been very happy with his choice so far, but of course its early. Since his goal is to get his PhD, he found it useful to see where recent Pomona physics graduates had gone. The annual department report, found here: [Annual Reports | Pomona College Physics and Astronomy](http://www.astro.pomona.edu/blog/2010-physics/?page_id=236) lists the plans of the 2011 graduates. (The 2009 and 2010 graduate report used to be there as well). The report has other information that you might find useful in deciding whether their program is appealing to you.

You should also take a look at the response I got last spring when I asked a similar question: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pomona-college/1119058-physics-major-pomona.html

Hope this helps!
