Pomona vs CMC for grad school

This is not the typical Pomona vs. CMC thread where Pomona always seems to get the upper hand because of percieved "prestige."

Here's my question
I hope one day to be a proffesor of history, and I hope to get admitted to a grad school with a great history program (HYP, University of Chicago, Stanford, Berkley etc)

Claremont is well known for social sciences including history, but Pomona sends lots of kids to really good grad schools.

Given my goals which school would be better, or is it a tie?

Oh, and I'm posting this in the cmc and pomona pages so let's see how that affects the responses.

Either school will get you into a good grad school provided you are a good student. Your own effort will determine your future, but the solid reputation of both Pomona and CMC will help.

Whatever school you think YOU would do better at would be better for placing you in a great grad school. It’s practically a tie.
