I'm currently at a mediocre state school and I'm doing well, 3.8GPA first semester. I pretty much discovered I wanted to transfer right away. The only thing that concerns me is the fact that I really haven't learned much, I feel the teachers are unorganized and cater to my lazy, unmotivated classmates.

I'm beginning to worry that when I transfer into sophmore year at another school I will fall behind due to the fact that there will be nothing to build on as a result of the school I am currently at.

It is not unreasonable to expect that you might need time to adjust. But your new school should have resources to help (tutoring, advising).

I would be careful with course sequences. (For instance, an introductory microeconomics course at your current school may not adequately prepare you for the intermediate level at another school).

Yeah I see that this is what I have to worry about.

I am applying as a business major to Northeastern and I was trying to complete as many of the pre-reqs as possible. I am taking into to mico econ like you said. Do you think it would be smarter to just take gen ed requirements that won’t matter as much later? or would it be better to take pre-requisite courses to help my chances of acceptance?

i would most def take the classes that pertain to your major. schools dont like seeing someone claiming that they want to major in a specific subject but have not taken any classes in that field. You can definitely make a balance tho. All this means is youre gonna have to work a little harder when you get to your next school, but thats what you want!
