Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I would be able to get into UC Davis with my GPA and test scores
unweighted - 3.58
weighted -4.13
SAT - 1450/1600
ACT - 32
The reason for my low unweighted GPA was that during the second semester of my sophomore year, I recieved 4 B’s due to a friends death. In freshman year, I recieved straight A’s and Junior year, 2 B’s and the rest A’s. For Senior year, I plan on taking more rigorous classes and a heavier class load. Would my excuse be a valid reason?

You look like a competitive applicant. UC GPA a bit low depending upon your intended major. You might not want to directly address your low grades due to your friends death, but how it effected you overall.
