Poor grades in 9 grade due to pre-existing conditions

Alright! So my freshman year was an absolute disaster, this was partly due to the fact that before 9th grade bagn my grandma got diagnosed with breast cancer and in that period of time I got a minor surgery too. She stayed with us and seeing the amount of sickness in the house when I was soo immature put a toll on my mental health. Due to this I was unable to concentrate on studying(65%), I still worked on my extracurriculars and I got selected to participate at the Inauguration of the International Solar Alliance, we met our Prime Minister and the Secretary General of the United Nations. In 10 grad my grades started to pick up and I got 80% and I even went to the most prestigious university in my country for a National Level Robotics Competition. I have also done mentoring for numerous robotics and ISSA(International Student Solar Alliance). Now I’m in 11 grade. I genuinely work hard and I’m planning to make my extracurriculars much much stronger. I want to get into an ivy league and I do realise that my extracurriculars suck ass. But if I improve my grades (think 90+) and I am able to work hard enough to improve my extracurriculars do I have a chance? If not then where do you think I should improve?

Note: I also raised $200 for a charity that helps underprivileged children go to school.

No, getting above 90% for one year will not get you into an Ivy. Students who get 95% for 4 years don’t get into the Ivy league schools. International students have an even lower chance.

What to do? Get your good grades for senior year and look at schools that match your academics and your ECs. Most likely you’ll find one in your home country but if you do want to go to school in the US, there will be schools that have your interests.

Okay I have reposted this because of grammatical errors, I would disagree with you on this, I know for a fact that people have gotten into Ivy league Unis with terrible grades and strong extracurriculars, I know I have a chance if I improve my grades and extracurriculars because colleges look at more than just your grades

OK, closing thread since you aren’t really looking for opinions.
