POOR Scores

I got a decent ACT score that I have already sent to USC, but my SAT was pretty poor (below the 25%tile). Am I allowed to re-take it without sending in my old SAT score, so I can see if i improve to an acceptable score? And if i don't improve, do I have to send both scores, or can I just use my ACT scores and act like I never took the SAT?

You either send all your SAT scores or none at all. You don't get to choose which SAT to send. So if you improve on the SAT, they will see both scores. If you don't improve, just pretend you never took it. But wouldn't you need to send all your scores anyway for the SAT II??

...unless SAT IIs aren't required...

well i just thought that USC will accept either the ACT or SAT, but i figured taking the SAT would give me a better idea of where i stand compared to previously admitted classes. But after taking the SAT, my ACT is a ton better. But I'll take the SAT again and see what happens. The SAT isn't required right? Can you use ACT only if necessary?

According to the website, they accept sat OR the act. And that's what I've always heard.
