Pop Culture of our childhoods

Today one of my friends put a picture of Heeleys on facebook. This reminded me of all this stuff that has faded into obscurity. So lets make a list.

Heeley's (which I wanted as a kid but could never get because I already was wearing adult size shoes- I'm size 14 now.)

That old man in the six flags commerical (My friends and I were wondering about him last week.)

Kid's Pop (Yes I know it's still going on but I don't think ive heard any sane 8 year olds listen to them for a while)

Candy that took 30 minutes to eat: Ringpops, babybottle pops, the list goes on..

So any other nostalgic timepieces?

I used to go on Webkinz and Neopets a lot.

Millsberry. Idk if anyone remembers that. But it became such a big fad in 3rd grade- I felt all awesome that I was the first person in our school to know about it, and got everyone else hooked.

Neopets, Club Penguin, Webkinz, Habbo Hotel…our generation was/is very internet-obsessed.

Our TV! Between PBS Kids, Disney Channel, Nick, and CN, we had a very wide and wonderful variety of shows.

Millsberry! I remember that! I was so sad when they shut it down.

Millsberry, webkinz and vmk was really big!

I remember I wanted a swimsuit from justice and limited too sooo bad.

But I want to bring up tv shows:
Lizzie Mcguire!
Thats so raven!
Phil of the future!

Do you guys remember sister sister?
Or the cheetah girls??!

Millsberry!!! I played that. Man…good times…good times.

Anyone remember those counter skip things that you’d swing around your ankle? Had a yellow one :D

I couldn’t even jump double dutch. Wasn’t gonna bother with one of those lol.

Millsberry, I remember that.

VIRTUAL MAGIC KINGDOM OH MY GOD. Literally my favorite; I cried when it shut down. I was CL_Ppufi for the curious. What I’d give to get that darn website back.

^Skip-Its!

Looks like Millsberry was pre-collegeconfidential. It’s crazy how we all probably went to each other’s “yard sales” or saw “sylvie” together haha.

Kids WB and Nick were my networks of choice. Rugrats (saw the movie 8 times in dollar theater), Pokemon, Yugioh, Fairly Odd Parents, and Jackie Chan Adventures was all that was needed lol

That’s the name!

Do you remember the Rugrats movie tht had the smell cards that went with it. I can distinctively remember the Phil’s dirty feet one or something of that nature.

I don’t really remember much, but all I can think of is BubbleTape and that zebra gum Fruit Stripe.

Blues Clues! :D

Does anyone remember when the made the Spin Off Blue’s Room? A doodle doodle doodle. A doodle doodle doodle. A doodle doodle doodle. Guess!

^The live action puppet thing? haha and lets be honest here, how stupid does nickelodeon think kids are. I knew that Joe was not steve’s cousin, and he sure as heck wasnt going to college

^ yep that’s it

I never really like Joe, but I dealt with him since I wanted to see Paprika grow up.

Anyone remember the Butt Ugly Martians? I used to love that show.

Just an FYI to the uninformed (me until yesterday), Paprika now has a baby sibling. Named Cinnamon.

“Joe, played by Donovan Patton, is Steve’s younger brother. When Steve leaves for college on a hopscotch scholarship, Joe stays with Blue and becomes the new host of the show.”

:D

^^I remember it. I wasnt a huge Martian fan. Pokemon on the other hand…wow that was just the most amazing thing in mind. The funny thing is I learned at about 4 that Pokemon weren’t real. My dad humored me till I was like 7 pretending that he talks to professor Oak and stuff like that. I thought that he thought Pokemon were real and didnt wanna ruin it for HIM so I went along with it lol. I just told him that a year ago and he doesnt believe that I actually was doing it for him haha.
