<p>Sup. Socal resident here, born and raised. I'd say you should go with Rainbow sandals. They're popular and even have an almost cult-like following. :)</p>
<p>Reef makes some decent sandals. If you want "popular", get brown leather sandals.</p>

<p>Most trendy people seem to wear rainbows, but in my opinion they don't look amazing (for the price, which is way high), they get dirty and old and smelly fast, etc.
If you're going for trendy, buy these. If you're going for quality, go for the tried-and-true Reefs. They look similar anyway</p>
<p>that's definitely true... reefs are far superior to rainbows, but if you're going for the abercrombie prepster look, they are necessary.</p>
<p>Abercrombie makes nice ones, especially the leather treads. If you're looking for solid flip flops, look at either A&F or Vineyard Vines.</p>

<p>Rainbows are much better quality then Reef sandals, and yes, they do come at a price. I've found Reefs to wear down pretty fast and they're typically gone within a couple months (I wear sandals alot). My Rainbows however, have gone strong for 6 months and are pretty darn comfortable. The downside to them though is that they have a long break-in period and they can sometimes hurt during then, but after that it is perfectly conformed to your foot.</p>

<p>rainbows are the BEST you can get. yeah theyre like $50 but its definitely worth it. i wear rainbows like every day. except try not to get them wet because it looks bad and then theyre kind of slippery for a while.</p>

<p>All right I'm going to go against the mold here. I grew up in South Orange County, right next to the Rainbow outlet. Yes I wore them for most of my life and thought they were the most amazing sandals ever.
Then I discovered Ocean Minded. Amazingly comfy sandals. The glue holding the upper foam stuff from the sole tends to fail sooner than Rainbows would, but the comfort level is leaps and bounds above Rainbow.</p>
<p>How many kinds of Rainbow sandals is there? It sounds to me like everyone wears them and it makes me feel that almost everyone is walking around in the same model. Or is there a huge amount of different kinds of good looking Rainbows?</p>

<p>There's not that many different models of Rainbows...most people have the same kind: either suede, regular leather, or hemp.</p>
