Portland vs. Boise vs. Denver college living

Hi, I got admitted into Portland State, Boise State, and UC Denver. I've never actually been to these cities but I did drive through Portland. I love metropolitan areas and lively places. I'm just wondering for anyone who has visited these cities how it is and stuff. And also, which school do you think would be the most fun?

It seems like Denver would be the most fun city.

I love Denver, honestly. I was born there and I visit every year, so I’m biased. :D

Portland is great. But it really depends on your preferred enviorment. As a highschool student taking classes there, I found the campus to be absolutely phenomenal. The extremely liberal and sterotypical “stoners” have become the expected normal not just for PSU students, but for almost every young person in the city. Portland is a cool city, don’t get me wrong. But for someone that is not a communist; does not wear skinny jeans, sweatpants, and no shirt; and thinks that you can have fun without the use of marijuana, campfires and Pink Floyd, Portland may feel a little unwelcoming. If you do find a group of friends sharing your common interests however, there are very few cities with the same crazy, bizarre and strange places to explore and discover. I’ve lived here for all my life, I’ve briefly been to Denver, but notblong enough to compare. The metropolitan and city feel of Portland does trump Boise by a LOT though. Hope this gives you even the smallest amount of insight!
