Is this for Fall 2013? Accepted to both, I assume. Is one a better deal financially than the other? Is your decision just based on where you’d rather live for those college years?

I recently (made my decision two nights ago) had a similar decision UO and Northeastern. One thing that helped was to compare the two schools against one another in different categories. there are some really good websites for this, with student made rankings for different subjects/parts of the school. Also, talking to friends, family, and people you know who have gone to or had experience with that school to get their opinion. While it may make your decision harder at first, because you will hear a lot of different views and opinions on both schools make them both seem perfect (at least they did for me) I found that it really helped. In the end, I chose Oregon based mostly on location and price. but in talking to people and hearing what they have to say on the matter, you tend to figure out which factors truly mean the most to you and hopefully that will make you final choice easier. Plus, as many people said to me, you can always transfer/come back if it doesn’t all work out.

Agree with Hockeyjew’s procedure. And just as an aside, both have the moniker “University of California @ Eugene/Boulder”.

My take on Boulder however is that while somewhat granola, it’s got many more wealthy kids that want to ski, than does Eugene. I’m sure there are many serious students at CU. But there’s a big “screwoff” factor there that makes a student need to excersize self control in order to not get “swept up” in it. Eugene’s granola is the real deal. Plus if it matters, many more active and athletic kids. (not referring to the varsity teams).

thanks for all the input guys! i ended up choosing CU though, got a better feel while visiting and much close to home.
