What are the possibilities of improving my score of 300 points in the 1700 range? My critical reading and my math scores were not to bad--610 and 630--just not great, but my writing score was horrible. Usually, I do a good job at writing towards prompts, however, I did not prepare enough for the writing and ended up with a 430 overall, a four on the essay (I didn't finish).

If I review a lot of grammar rules and work on my essay can i bring that score up by 200+? And is it possible to improve my other two scores by 100 at the same time? I think it would be harder to bring up the latter because they're already in the 600s.

Monkey,
Search for post “How to write a 12 essay in 10 days” this is an extremely helpful post outlining exactly how to approach the essay. Also, when you do the essay, try to fill up both pages. I understand that this helps put you at least in the top half of the score range (4-6)

A friend of mine improved his PSAT writing score of 46 to a 750 on the actual SAT! So maybe you could try aiming a little higher for writing?? Good luck!

yes. it’s possible. Dont worry about it.
It requires likes of practice tests though.
I scored 175 in my sophomore PSAT. In my junior year, i scored 210 on my PSAT and 2180 on my SAT.
You can do it too :)

Thanks for the replies, they really boosted my confidence. Now I have a new question. I think I can improve in the sat math, but there is always some wordy problem that i get confused on. Does anyone have any tips for working on word problems. I usually skip those because I tend to over think the problem and miss it.
