Anyone think it's possible to raise an ACT score by 6 points? I got a 26 as a sophomore and I'm trying to get a 32 this time (as a junior) to get into UM - Engineering. I have a 3.9 UM GPA, so I want to get at least a 30.

This time I picked up the Princeton Review - Cracking the ACT. Anyone else have much luck with it? I need that magical 30!

im using the princeton review-cracking the ACT right now...im taking the exam in 2 weeks...i think its good (btw...this will be my first time taking it )

I really like the PR prep books. Sometimes I think they point out the all-too-obvious but the way they outline their book makes it easy to go through
Make sure to read up on the stuff you don't know, and time yourself on the practice tests. It really helps

If you were a sophomore, with prep I don't think it would be hard for you to get around a 32 either end of junior year or beginning of senior year. Good luck!

It's been a year since I took my first ACT, so I can't really remember how close the tests are. They seem to ask similar questions. I've also heard that the real ACT is actually easier than the PR practice tests, but we will see. I've been scoring 30-32 on the practice tests, so I'm hoping the above statement is true.

Basically the difference was that I jumped from a 32/30 reading and english up to a 35/36 (respectively). My math and science stayed the same (just switched, 29, 26). I honestly don't know how I jumped that much, because I felt like I did horribly on it at the time and was mad at myself for the rest of the weekend haha.
