They have offered off the wait list – I received an offer as well as someone else I know. Both of us declined due to the money that was offered - can’t afford Case with that little money. I am sure they will be working off the list to fill the spots but I think it’s going to be more based on who needs the less $ aid that anything else - they will get offered first. I received my offer before someone who that a little harder class schedule this year & better SAT scores – but I needed less money based upon my family estimated contribution – his offer came a couple of days later & he needed more money. just saying - they only have so much money left to offer & a fixed number of spots to fill — -look at the person from China - they got offered a whole week before anyone else & they got no aid or scholarship. Just saying

Oh – good luck to all of you who are waiting

Son got a call today simply asking him would he still be interested if they gave him an aid package of around $xyz. He said yes but that we would have to see and compare final numbers. Was not followed up by any official offers. I find the whole thing very odd. Either make an offer of admission or don’t, but stop the game playing.

Well, offer did come this morning, along with a nice scholarship offer. However, it now says to be considered for FA, there’s a new form to fill out (which hasn’t been available to you until you’ve been given the offer of admission) even though all the previous FA forms and documents were submitted. And you most likely won’t know an answer on aid prior to having to make the WL decision by May 10. The CWRU process really still has some kinks to work out.

How do they contact u

The official notification came via an email telling you to check a change in your status in the online portal. Within that you then see a new admissions letter.

Our son was waitlisted, he received his offer package on April 30th and was asked to reply by May 1st. He had already accepted Berkeley BioEng offer, so he declined the offer from Case. The admission process with Case is a bit odd one, giving students one day to accept the offer is strange. Having said that, they did offer a decent scholarship bringing costs to about $43k. I suppose they are trying to be competitive with state school’s, but UC’s are still cheaper for state residents by $11k.
I hope my son’s spot at Case goes to another deserving student.

So has everyone received the bad news about the closure of the waitlist already?
