I am writing with a status update regarding the wait list, and a request for your timely response. We have been closely watching the responses to our initial offers of admission, and at this point it looks like we may be able to admit a very small number of additional students.

Please respond to this email with an indication of your level of interest in attending Case Western Reserve University. Our admission committee is meeting to make decisions about the very small number of students we can admit, and so it's helpful to know how serious candidates are as we go into our committee meeting. I would appreciate your response as soon as possible so that I know whether yours is a name I should bring forward to the committee. Any additional information you can provide would also help me make the case for you to the committee.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission

Is it possible that I will be admitted off the wait list? Or is it sent to me because I didn't respond those former emails requiring me to select a interest level...

Also.. If I want to learn finance and accounting ...UIUC is more suitable than CWRU...Is it right?

Oh… mistake.Actually I did respond to those former emails, and choose “I am still interested in Case Western Reserve. Please keep me on the wait list.”

I also received this email today. I chose the same for all former emails too. A friend of mine did not get this email, and she chose “Case is my top choice” for all former reponses except the last one (she enrolled another school then so she chose the second option for the last one). I dont know what I can tell from this.

well… My response email is that “I am still interested” and I also put some update materials in it (ps. two paintings I recently painted, and a new recommendation letter provided by my junior high school’s counselor ) Today, I got an email from Case asking me to check my status update, and I am admitted … So I think students who got the email are likely to get in (especially act actively towards it). Now I am just not so sure…'cause I already accepted the offer from UIUC…

Sorry for replying so late… I haven’t touched the computer for several days… @ SAT456 Yes, I am an international student.(China)

@Gunner94 I don’t know whether this is a factor: I applied Case in the EA round, but then I got deffered. And in the RD round I got waitlisted. And I responded to all the emails(although didn’t chose the first option). Also, I sent update information two times. Maybe these things showed my interest?
I think contact them will help…

I am not going to Case, and guess some other students have other plans as well…So after May 1 you still have chances!

Yesterday, my local admissions counselor called me to ask if I was still interested in Case because they were going over their final review of applicants. That was around 5 p.m. I got an admissions decision saying that I had been accepted off the wait-list at around 10 p.m the same day. So, I think they’re sending out acceptance letters to some people depending on when they review them, but I’m not entirely sure how it works. He told me that they would try and get decisions out before May 1, but it might not happen that quickly. So, I think everyone still has a shot! Good luck!

I also go the call from local admissions officer on Monday & got an email acceptance off the wait list by the end of the night – the award package was not all that impressive considering the cost involved
