I was revisiting the pdf of my submitted application to UMich, and realized that it said that I had submitted my application on February 2nd. I think that I know the issue; the commonapp is in EST, I am in CST, and I submitted my application around 11:00 p.m. Quite honestly, I’m confused as the commonapp explicitly told me to submit my application by “my local time.” Will this have any effect on my admissions decision, and should I send my admissions counselor an email elucidating the situation?
Submitted by midnight your local time is fine. CA will show EST as their clock time but that’s not what’s used for the submission cutoff time.
Unless the Michigan portal says your application is not valid, don’t worry about it.
