<p>While writing a paper, I used some ideas from an outside source without citing them. I have been reported for academic dishonesty and will attend a hearing soon. I plan on explaining the situation because it was a mistake and accepting responsibility. However, I am transferring schools next year and I'm worried that this academic dishonesty will affect that. If I'm found guilty and get the punishment that I expect, a 0 on the assignment, there will be no sign of academic misconduct on my transcript. It will only be in my record for my current school. So will my new school see this when I transfer and will it affect my transfer?</p>
