possible rescindment?

Hey my first semester grades were GREAT, but the second semester has been horrible for me.

my courseload and projected grades are :
AP environmental science 1 A or B
AP environmental science 2 A or B
AP econ/civics A or B
AP chemistry D or C
AP art history A or B
AP biology C

my main concern is chem. I might get a D. I spoke with the counselor at CAL and she said that she might make an exception because of my course load and if I show that I have taken full advantage of my opportunities. What does this mean?

I can raise it to a C, but I might not

MY MAIN question is how often do students get rescinded? I heard only 20 students got rescinded from Berkeley last year. Can it happen just because I was a few percent away from a C-

It honestly feels a bit weird that I can have my entire 4 years of hard work go down the drain because I was a few percentage points away from a C-.

Are there any exceptions for hard course loads or if i give any other reasons? I heard that they ask you to write a letter explaining your bad grades after they see the final transcript.

What should I do besides work hard and try to raise my grades from here on out.

senioritis sucks!

dude I FEEL U...i might get a D in Calc 3 at community college...all my other grades are amazing...i have an excuse but i dont know if they will favor it...im trying to get eagle scout and im suppose to attend meetings so i miss class for the meetings...and it affects my test scores...

i dont have an excuse either.. just that I HATE science.. bio and chem and that in college I wont take any science or math classes... so I think I can definetely succeed at berkeley... but the adcoms don't know this... I'll have to explain it

PICK UR SENIOR SCHEDULES VERY WISELY JUNIORS!

you hate science... how dare uuu.....

just stop being lazy and get those grades up.... talk to ur teacher and try to get in some extra credit...

Make it very clear to your teacher that if you get a D, you will probably get rescinded from Berkeley. Then make it obvious you are working VERY hard for the rest of the year.

if you hate science why on earth would you be taking four ap sciences?...

I'm very unlucky... my teacher is the only one that will not round up for seniors... MOST teachers at my school will ( according to past grads)... my friend had a D in ceramics and talked to the teacher.. she gave him an A... at my school a lot depends on what teacher you get

I just got unlucky

I work hard... I just hate the material and I can't concentrate on it

i am a rigor whore... i took all the AP's offered at my school except chem, bio, and apes

so therefore, I just took those classes cause they were AP so I could get college credit...etc.. BAD MISTAKE

I spoke with berkeley and they said they could make an exception because of my rigorous courseload, but I don't want to take chances

my main concern is how many kids that you know didnt get rescinded with a D

and how often do rescindments actually happen? I heard only 20 kids got rescinded last year from CAL and that was because they lied EXTENSIVELY ALL OVER their app.

LOL? how did they lie extensively?

It's possible that your admission will be rescinded if you have multiple Cs and even a D (and the Bs don't help, either). As others said, get those grades up as much as you can, even the Bs to As.
