My daughter decided to apply to a certain college very late (as in, less than two weeks ago), and it has a November 15th early action deadline for a major scholarship she’s applying for. The college requires all test scores to be in by November 15 in order to be considered for early action. She discovered today that the College Board hadn’t yet sent the scores that she had requested more than a week ago, and when she finally got through to them, they couldn’t guarantee they would be there in time. She then called the admissions office of the college and spoke to the adcom for our area who said her guidance counselor could email a PDF of her scores until the official copy showed up from the College Board. So that’s what she arranged.
She’s enormously relieved that she won’t be eliminated because of late scores, and I was pleased that she handled all of this on her own, and I didn’t even know anything about the issue until after it was resolved. Anyway, if anyone else is having an issue with scores possibly not making it in time for a deadline, you might want to check to see if this might be an option.
