My previous score was 1360. I increased 170 points by self studying. Is it possible to increased 200 points in a week??? I studied 2 hours yesterday on the writing section reviewing answers and practicing and spent 3 hours on math concepts I missed and practice questions. My main trouble is the sat essay. I taken practice sections of the sat book untimed.
Same! my SAT essay is the bane of my existence. Also, are you referring to the score out of three sections or two? I am assuming two sections?
Hi. In total of 3 sections.
It is not impossible, but you need to focus on learning the fundamentals of one/two sections (since you don’t have so much time left) that drop(s) your score dramatically. So if you’re practicing too many sections, stop doing that and learn the lessons/strategies for every question you missed. What are your scores for each section?
Thank you for the reply.
Real score : Math (440) + Reading (500)+ writing (420).
Previous practice scores : Math 400/410 + Writing : 400+ reading 460
Another question: generally, do you grasp math or language concepts faster? I’d say leave critical reading since you have no time to improve in that – math and writing are waaaay easier to improve.
Language concepts. I increased more in writing. What was your SAT score and are you good at the writing essay part?
I got 5.
Then I’d say focus more on writing and (at least some basic concepts) from math. Barron’s is awesome for math concepts on the SAT.
My highest was a 10/12 on the essay.
How did you get a 10/12 on the SAT essay? Do you follow a “formula”? I have GRubers SAT prep book and that has a math section.
