Hello Everyone,

I'm a freshman student at Quinnipiac University and a member of their Doctorate of Physical Therapy six program. Due to financial concerns, I am seriously considering transferring to a more affordable school which contains the same (or similar) DPT program. The school that I am primarily looking into is SUNY Stony Brook (I am a NY resident). I am well aware that it is extremely early for a freshman to considering transferring, and while nothing is set in stone, I feel as though this move will be a better option for my future.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if SUNY Stony Brook accepted people into their DPT program who are entering from another DPT program or if it is a restricted program. I was also wondering how strenuous the transferring process was (to SUNY Stony Brook or another school) and if it is a feasible goal while taking a heavy corse-load at QU. While I love QU so far, I just feel as though the financial burden that all of the loans I am taking out will equate to may be more harmful in the long run while the possibility of attending a school with a great PT reputation that I can afford is available.

Thank you!
