Is there anything that I would need to know about the academics, social world, or university afterlife of the College of Human Ecology? Is there anything you would like to add?

Yes. You would need a major. Your major is really important in determining your future, you know. Preferably, it’s something you are interested in.

I have selected a major and it suits me, but what I am questioning is the unseen. I want to know the other unspoken selection factors that I might not automatically think about.

I do not have the greatest SAT scores, but my grades are good. I have the interest and the brains for the endeavor, but so do the other applicants. While I am not comparing my qualifications to the others I do know that they exist and I have indeed given them a glimmer of a thought. The best case scenario is this. My essays and glowing LOR’s do the job that scores do not communicate. For the sake of brevity, I have causes that I mention and I give the background, I speak of rigor, and I address my specific needs that I am looking to have met by a college degree from Cornell.
