I'm wondering if anyone on these boards has ever gone through the Program of Liberal Studies at Notre Dame and majored in another area or if anyone knows something about this. I'm particularly interested in majoring in computer science and doing the program of liberal studies.

The idea for this came from the PLS website. On that site it said that some students have done PLS and majored in mathematics. From what I can tell, mathematics is a pretty heavy workload -- similar to CS.

Of course, I am only a high school senior right now, so I am probably naive in this ambition. I feel that it might be reasonable, however, because I've studied up through Calculus 3 (honors, not AP -- we don't have ap's), honors physics (past year and the rest of this year) and I've studied quite a bit of books -- we have humanities courses in which we read, discuss and write essays on things like Crime and Punishment through the Iliad through The Republic through Augustine's Spirit and the Letter.

Any advice in this area would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
ClanDestin
