Post all your last minute tips for Oct 14 test!

btw what do you guys think of ADHD stimulant drugs to help you concentrate... alot of college kids and harvard and stuff are taking them to help them concentrate.. could be very useful for the SAT? haha

does taking friday off really help?

^ i dont know ...but i am, i did in april too...i will review pracrice test s..sleep..and go out to lunch with my mom

about taking days off...

in january i got 1870... when i retook in april with taking friday off i got 1900...

in june i didnt take the day off and stayed up till 1 am. and got 2090. go figure.

get a full night's sleep, have a bit of caffeine in your system before the essay starts, and most importantly DO NOT BE STRESSED OUT

yea, id say take friday off.

Why do you study all night long!! just have a good night sleep, have breakfast (something good!) and say your prayers. lol

I'm not studying at all friday... hopefully I'll get some studying in tomorrow though.

Friday Off: Yes Or No

I'd say take Friday off, or just do a little bit.

Another tip: recreate testing environment, as in don't read (quietly) outloud to yourself for CR (if you happen to do that), actually use all 25 minutes to do a section, don't like snack or anything while you're testing, etc.

Personal experience:
The day before the June SAT was high school graduation for me. I was to be an usher at the ceremony so I couldn't miss out on the ceremony, which lasted until 11 PM. Afterwards, since my city didn't have a test center, I took a train to another city, arriving at 1 AM. After checking into a hotel and taking a shower, I fell asleep at 2 AM. What's more hilarious is that because I didn't register in advance and had to take the SAT as a standby, I needed to get to the test center at 6:30 AM, waking up at 6. I slept a grand total of 4 hours before the SAT and still scored 800/800/690. As I said, bananas and mint gum help. =p

Take Thursday and Friday off.
but even if you dont, make sure that you get enough REST. as in, sleep early for three days straight before the test (meaning... starting today :D).

goodluck everyone.

well, I definitely won't take Friday off, but I will go to bed very early

good luck everyone....including myself

I'm in band and we have our homecoming game Friday night.

So I'm going to 1st period and then coming home (napping).

i stayed up until 4:30 for a poetry project hte thursday before the SAT and my body couldn't adjust itself in one night and i got owned hard. fell asleep on the SAT. got 500's on the sections i fell asleep in and i got a 730 on the last section (writing)

i wrote my essay in a foreign language because i lost my mind and am not a morning person

It is still perplexing to me the idea of how one brings about the inducement of sleep during the SAT. :D

^ school is second priority to the SAT. You should've said screw the project and concentrate for the sat.
