Post-AP Chemistry thread.

Underneath the graph, there were two questions. That's why the lines started halfway down the page on Q6. I screwed up parts of Q2, Q5, and Q6, and messed up an explanation in Q4, but I still thought the test overall was easy.

Because parts a, c, and e require us to draw in the box/graph, so some people might forgot that they had already done those parts in the boxes/graph provided and continued to letter their answers in alphabetical order when answer the question (such as lettering "d," then "e," when it was supposed to be "f" because "e" was a graphical question).

I think this is the case? Because I remember answerings what you guys described above as "f" and "g," but I don't remember actually lettering "g." D'you think College Board would take points off if you lettered it wrong but actually had the right answers for whatever it was you were supposed to be answering?

This really sucks - because #6 was the only one I was confident about in the 3 questions of part B. =/

arent we suppose to write all the answers on the lines provided except for the drawings??

HS_2012, yes, we were supposed to. Most of the time, though, CB told us to just "draw" on the lines instead of providing us with boxes and telling us to draw in them like they did this time. I think that's why the letterings are a bit messed up because people forgot they already answered a certain letter in the boxes above and were actually writing the answer to the next letter (e.g. lettering "e" but actually answering "f").

Is this the first year they've provided us with boxes to draw in? If it's so, I hope they'll forgive occasional errors in letterings?

To avoid confusion I just said: "see diagram" that way they CANT take off points...

I'm blaming CB because there is no way masses of people had an oversight on two problems, especially when it's easy to tell that the lines for answering started right after the graph (question 2).

its reasonable that the two questions were on a separate page, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

we will know the real problem soon. either a lot of us are blind, CB had different versions, or they messed up.

i also put "see diagram" or something like that

I had parts f and g...so I don't know....

I am one of these blinds ones too... god damn I hate collegeboard

I should've done that for the last question... but I did do that for an earlier question.

The FRQ's were okay. The MC... sucked.

I didn't like the lines though, got sorta confused at first and realized I would just write the answers and work, on the lines (however sloppy it is).

I'm pretty sure around half is a 5, at least I heard

MC did suck. I skipped all the ones I wasn't 100% sure on. I probably got enough right on the MC to get a 5. Since... 65% is a 5 apparently.

On the other hand, the FR wasn't so great. Part A was alright. Part B was okay too. But... Part A #3 was badddddd. I didn't remember anything! I can probably kiss that 5 good-bye.

My MC was pretty decent....I knew how the answers to about 80% of them and had enough time to bull-**** the rest of the questions.

The Free Response was a breeze.....except for the buffer question which I did not know a thing coz I did not study it.

Overall, so far the best AP I have written and the only AP which I finished the Free Response about 25 minutes before time was called and left the hall with 10 minutes remaining.

I found MC kind of difficult, at least moreso than the two or three released practice tests I did. I'm hoping for at least 60, though. I only omitted one, but I was unsure of a bunch.

I liked the calculator free response! For question 1, I think that's the first time I've ever been able to figure out a problem on that subject :D and then the non-calculator part was pretty easy, except I totally was not thinking for part of it, and explained something completely wrong -_-

Overall, it was harder than calc BC and French, but not hideous.

For those of you who missed f and g, DON'T STRESS! They probably won't be worth much more than one point each... For heaven's sake.

well...f will probably be worth 2 since you had to explain your answer...

I don't remember seeing if it was g or not, but did g refer to f and ask how doing something would affect something in f?

yeah, they were interconnected

i'm still denying that there was a f and g until I get my score, cuz then I won't care, or someone shows me my answer sheet, or college board does something about it.

Sorry, Alohasam, but I definitely saw f and g..... I remember because I almost missed them, too.

i saw f and g too and there's only one version of this test.

don't we get to see the free response soon anyway?
