I signed up for the test even though i'm not in AP chemistry i have no freaking clue what to do....

i'm shooting for a 3... i know the curve is easy but think of it this way : of the 75 i only got 20 MC correct and i can usually figure out like half-3/4 of the Multiple choice things so am i totally screwed or most likely screwed or what....

i don't really want a 3 cuz i'm probably gonna have a 5 in my other 5 ap tests and this kinda screws my average over but ehh...

To be honest if you aren't in AP Chem it will be hard as hell. But, most people who do take the test only have one year of chemistry, so maybe you aren't that bad off.

I'm in your position too and I'm aiming for a 3. There's nothing much you can do about it now, try to practice from now until tuesday and get the hang of everything, especially the free response.

"go get princeton review. its a quick read, and im sure you can get a 3 with it"

That book's sitting on my bed right now - it's definitely not a quick read. I bought a college textbook, and it's much more helpful. I'm not in AP Chem either, and my teacher can't teach - but I somehow pulled a 5 last year in Biology, so who knows? :)

O YA AP CHEM... i'm hoping for domination with a 5..... i got a 5 on my semester exam, but it was real close.... i need to study MUCHO for it cause i really want a 5

im hoping for a 5..but a 4 is also good i suppose. I took a mock ap test at school and i was 2 points short from a 5. So with a little study, i may be able to boost it up

yea arne't they required for the FR section?? o ya and i didn't mean to damper anyone's ambitions... i'm just really pumpedd and have been studying lke mad!

I was in a similar situation as you are in last year. Get that book and DO EVERYTHING. If time is short don't do the practice tests but do the chapter and the questions at the end of the chapter.

The resource is in front of you. Now it's only up to you on how badly you want that 5.

I finish the book in just one day! And I am doing reasonable good on the practice tests. (i had honors chem sophomore year)

hehe ... my teacher said i could probably pass it and sign ups were a while back so when i looked (very briefly :( ) at the sample test i was like well a i know a few of these and the rest i'll probably learn in class by the time of the test...
and i couldn't really start studying ahead of time because back then i didn't even know the basics of chemistry ... just the stuff u learn in 8th grade about balancing equations lol~!
I think i'm just gonna stop stressing... skip school monday and study and then i'll see wut i can do on the test if i pass ... good if not... its not like stressing will save the 82$ hehee... although it'll make it look like i tried

BTW i have the barrons one i'm hoping the problems on it are like 2x harder than the AP test because i only get like a few right lol
is it true that barrons is 2x harder almost than the AP test lol i heard th eir harder

oh yeah the ACid base eq thing i've got down pretty good after spending myself like 8 hours teaching it.. :) ... i actually think i can almost get most of the FRQ right like 50-60% its the MC i'm worried about cuz barrons is so hard and either some of it i have no clue or.... yeah no clue lol :)

how in detail do you have to go for lab quetions. Can write weigh the sample, or do you have to say put a cool beaker on the scale, press the tear button, then put the sample in, record the mass etc.
