Post CC Depression

Hey All,

Hope you're enjoying your holiday season. Not to halt the holiday cheer, but man am I depressed after looking at all the CC posts.

I am an undergraduate freshman at a state school in Mass but I was hoping to transfer out to an Ivy for Junior year. Even if I took the ACT again, and somehow got a perfect score should I even bother applying to top tier schools?

My EC's in high school were great:

Mock Trial, 4 years (captain)
Tennis, 3 years (captain)
National Honor Society (VP)
Congressional Intern
Volunteer on a political campaign
And more

My grades were inconsistent ranging from C+ to A, but because I took all AP classes my GPA was 4.0.

After my first semester of college I have a 4.0, a job as a Judicial Adviser.
I participate in Mock Trial (award) and I hold public office under the governor.

But look I don't have anything published (working on it!), I'm no Michael Phelps, and I'm not a secret neurologist.

Am I wasting my time? I'm going crazy because of these Ivies.

The Ivies transfer rate varies greatly. Cornell’s transfer acceptance rate is actually higher than the Freshmen acceptance rate. Harvard’s transfer acceptance rate is for all purposes negligible/impossible (0-2%).

Which schools do you want to attend? I think you have a chance for sure at the lower Ivies.
