...goes to Cornell University. The moment has finally come for me to attain that 'senior member' status, and since others have dedicated their 1000th, 2000th, etc post to certain colleges/universities, I think I will too. I really hope to go here when I graduate high school in 2007. I've wanted to go to Cornell since 8th grade. You cornellians proved to be the most random/interesting people, which is really cool, keep it up :)

Congrats on Senior Member Status!!! :)

Thanks =D
I hope you have fun at Cornell. I'm sure you will ;)

Yay for sarah! :) :)

Aww thanks leigh. You're too kind :)

it's weird they knew your name was sarah... haha... or maybe i'm just being an idiot... yes... i am... i'll shut up now, but congrats... and hopefully my future school... or upenn i don't know... have to decide... blasphemy i know!

cujoe: "blasphemy". You said it, I didn't! :p LOL just teasing.

lol yeah, it's really interesting how Cornell is our first choice (it should definently be for you cujoe, forget about upenn ;))

haha, with all the overwhelming propaganda... i'll have to go with...

whoever sends me the application first... that's a good way to decide right? and if they come the same day, the first one i see...

But why should your four years of college (and arguably your life thereafter) hinge on the efficiency of the postal sorting system/admissions office? They're not the ones you'll be spending good times with. :o

By the by, cujoe, why penn? I know, if I wanted an answer to that I could pop by the penn board, but I really want to hear it from someone who's also interested in Cornell. (yup, I applied to penn too)

This really has nothing to do with anything, but since we're on the topic of other Ivies, has anyone seen the Harvard '09 group on MySpace? They have insane fights going on already. The Cornell '09 group is so friendly and I've talked to dozens of amazing people. And if you look around the other Ivy boards, Cornell has the most fun on College Confidential, too! :p

(I'm not trying to sway you guys away from your UPenn convo, I just didn't want to make an entire new thread for my observation! haha)

haha maybe the harvard ppl get a kick from debates/arguments. there are ppl like that... I actually find their CC board quite entertaining. ;) Seriously.

oh... well partially because my sister goes there, but if you just go to the campus... the city energy is incredible... for one... the campus is beautiful, the dorms are amazing, the classes offered range from pointless to the most useful courses you can take... the broad range of choices and the environment are what make penn so great! as for cornell, the steadiness and simplicity of everyday makes that a draw... kinda opposites, but that's how i feel

Thanks cujoe. I wouldn't mind the energy of a city either... but heck, NYC is a coupla hours away :)
