dude, chill, i now some one who got the same score and got into Dartmouth, Princeton, and UPenn (but go rejected from Harvard and Cornell)

My score friggin dropped from January. 2220 -> 2160

WOW.

CR: 70 -> 64
Math: 76 -> 74
Writing: 76 -> 78

wow, I have noticed that everyone seemed to go down in CR while increasing in writing, well thats atleast what happened to me.

ye vocab was a b!tch in march...for me at least, because the reading passages seemed about the same

except for that one on photography in NYC, that one wasn't fun

Ugh. 740M (no clue what happened.. thought I breezed past all of them), 640CR (whatta killer), 720W (9 essay.. 6MC wrong.. usually only get 3 wrong >.<) - 2100

Guess I'll do better next time

2000, flat! I'm not happy, and I have to retake it because I won't get into Cornell with these scores. I'm thinking of taking the ACT instead, but I have to see my full score report and check out what I got wrong. If it is the vocabulary in the critical reading section, then I'll work on that. However, there is no way I'm solely relying on the SAT because I did so much better on my ACT diagnostic test than I did on my SAT diagnostic. A 31 and 1900 are worlds apart.

580 CR --> Absolutely Ridiculous
700 WR (10 Essay) --> Disappointing
720 MA --> Disappointing

The vocabulary was terrible on the critical reading section in March. Some of those words I had never even heard, and I omitted two fill in the blanks. The writing did not seem very hard, but the score is not what I hoped for. The same goes for math; the math seemed very easy, but why did I do so poorly? I hate the way they try to trick you.

What upsets me even more is that I got a 2270 on the official College Board SAT 2007 practice test? And I got a 2320 on another practice test from the updated College Board SAT preparation book. So, those were confidence boosters, but these scores are absolutely disgusting. On top of this, I can't seem to get a complete handle on SAT critical reading, but my grip on AP English Language/Composition critical reading practice tests is very tight: I usually get 14 out of 15 or 15 out of 15 on those, and those are supposed to be harder.

Do you guys have any pointers for me improve my critical reading score? It is really disheartening to put in this much time, see an improvement on practice tests, and then fall back to where you started. I know I can improve the writing and math scores, but the critical reading seems like too big of a jump to hit 700. What do you guys recommend I do?

total: 2080 aka the suck
610 Math - SICK.
670 CR - I could have done better.
800 Writing (12 essay) - I wrote about YouTube. I thought the readers would think I was on crack or something... seriously! Who writes about YouTube?? LOL

Cumulative: 2310
760 CR
780 Math (rather angry about the one question I missed...)
770 Writing (Essay 10, MC 77)

Overall, I'm satisfied with a score that essentially matched my December ACT (34), and probably won't be re-taking either test again.

10 essay
560 Maths
720 CR
800 Writing

CR-690
M-780
W-760 (12 essay, screwed up MC, w/e)
2230 eh so-so, it'll have to do
sigh.... All I wanted was to break a 700 in CR and then I'd be all settled and done with SAT. The discrepancy between the scores is not going in my favor.

V-720
M-800
W-730 (10 essay)

I am NOT retaking

V - 800
M - 750
W - 780 (With an Essay Score of 11)

Which makes the total score a 2330. I'm extremely happy with my score and the fact I won't have to retake again.

2030 :( :( :(

only at CC would a score of 2030 be :( :( :(ed lol..

I got a 2040 and was equally disappointed.

I think as long as your Math+CR is at least 1350 you're good for top-tier colleges. Colleges don't even look at the Writing section...

o___________0

Verbal: 800
Math: 800
Writing: 800

w00t! >__<

Now... back to that stupid paper... grr...

CR: 760
Math: 740
Writing: 800
Total: 2300

First try. I'd already planned on taking the thing twice, and I have a beat a friend of mine. ;) Ulterior motives, I'll admit.

Maths: 710
CR: 760
Writing: 750
