Post SAT scores for the Dec test!!!

740 critical reading
750 math
790 writing

( : 5 hours of freezing cold and filling in bubbles paid off.

Is this good enough for NMSQT if i'm a semifinalist with very similar PSAT scores?

I got 1640, depressed. you guyz are all great, I don't even any score below 2000.

It's all right amraa_kaze.

Well, I scored a
770W 12E
750CR
770M

Yeah, I'm a junior who took the test after everyone told me not to take it so early without the proper amount of preparation. Should've listened, I suppose.

Critical Reading - 740 (unusually low, this is usually my best section)
Writing - 730 (10 on the essay? I usually get a 12 on collegeboard's stuff online. I guess this shows that the online tutorial really doesn't take into account content and just counts number of commas and length and whatnot.)
Math - 700 (this was the biggest ***. Math is usually up there with CR at around 770.)

I don't really know how to react. This was a lot lower than I expected, especially when I'm aiming for around a 2300. I guess I just have to study a lot harder than I thought I would have to over break and stuff.

My PSAT scores:
CR: -3, 78 (highest at my school??? Idk how I pulled that off)
M: -1, 75
W: -6, 62 (hahaha. hah.)

Anyone else getting a thorough reality check besides me? What are you planning to do about it? Other than all the online SAT stuff, is there anything I can do to improve on a daily basis?

^ Don't worry man, you can take the SAT up to like 3 times. 2170 is awesome for a first time taking the SAT.

So mine...

CR from 700 ---> 730
Math from 750 ----> 770 - GRrrrrrrrrrrr this was my last time taking it and I thought I was gonna get 800. I mean I got 800 on SAT II Math and 36 on the ACT math. fail.

730 - CR
700 - M (IDK how the hell this one happened :( )
690 - W (11 essay, 63 mc )

RETAKE: 800/710(?)/760=2270.......2nd subscore is a major piece of failure considering I usually get no more than 2 wrong on practice tests.
FIRST SITTING: was 730/750/690( once again)=2170.....
At least the superscore is 2310 if my understanding of the process is correct (take highest subscores).

Well looks like I am not really deficient in any of these areas, just rather extremely inconsistent. I am prone to making a slew of careless mistakes which has been my bane in timed testing.

p.s. and no, I didn't study one bit betwen my first and second sitting, which further proves the point of my haphazard nature.

Well, goodby Harvard.
Math II: 630
Chem: 680
U.S. History: 690
I barely studied for them so its to be expected I guess. Oh well.

1st time

CR 620 <---- **** i know, it's always been my worst.
M 730
W 750

=2100

730- cr

650- m

630- w

cr-710
m-770
w-710
essay-11

I'm so disappointed...

CR: 690 (***...)
M: 720 (omg I thought I only missed 2!)
W: 800 (MC: 80 E: 11)

2210...I'm so disappointed right now...***..

sigh.... first time taking the test. my mom was so dpressed when she heard about my scores:

CR 620 (84%)
Math 710 (95%)
Writing 710 MC:66 Essay:11 (97%)

Sigh does anyone have any tips on how to do well on CR????? that section needs to be taken off the sat.... anyway. i can't believe i got a 710 in writing and math! i was sure i got at least a 750 -_-

I know that a lot of people have said that the critical reading on the ACT is much easier. Have you considered trying that?

first time taking

670 C
750 M (***... ill get 800 next time)
770 W (10 Essay)

2190

i know im gonna retake again to get the superscore of at least 2250, but do you think a 2190 is good enough for berkeley or some ivy's (barring my EC's and stuff are up to par as well)

ugh.
Math-660
Critical Reading-760
Writing-710
Overall- 2130

PSAT- 221

gah. I studied so much for math and did absolutely nothing for critical reading. I got a 5 in AP Stats, im in AP Calc AB this year, and Ive made above 95% in every math class Ive taken in high school. How is it possible for me to score so poorly on math? I want to do engineering, so I need a 750 at least. Gah. Any ideas on what Im doing wrong or how to improve? I'm a junior, so I have time to retake it, but not much. I'm planning to retake in March. I've already had the Princeton Review Class. Thanks!

hmm i wonder how many you needed to miss for 660 on CR...like -9 wrong-2(forthe.025s)= -11?

March 2008: 800 CR, 770 M, 680 W (7 Essay, 72 MC)
December 2008: 790 CR, 770 M, 750 W (9 Essay, 75 MC)

2320 Superscored :)

^ i would have bet money that you would get an 800 in CR. guess the curves weren't so generous.

I took it again just to see if I could top 2000 (got a 1990 last time)...

730 CR
640 Math
670 Writing

2040

I did 10 points better on math last time, exact same on writing, 60 points worse in CR.
