Tink: Are you sure it came by OVERNIGHT mail?
If it did, then we ppl living near-ish to Hamilton could expect it a day or two early.

AHHH I really want to know...even if it is a no.

oh, wow. do you think anywhere within a 3 or 4 hr. drive from Hamilton would be considered "near-ish?" Waiting for this letter is truly driving me insane!

Yeah....my bf thinks I have gone crazy....I guess i have. But yeah....i would consider NY and CT to be Near-ish. And according to last year's forum the letter does actually come in a priority mail envelope, not a large white Hamilton envelope...those can come really fast.

I hope I don't have a heart attack or anything. :-)

last year's forum? ...where would that be? haha about your bf.. yea i'm trying not to talk about it too much with mine cause i don't want his/everyone's sympathy attention if i don't get in. in a way i wish i didn't even tell my parents that i applied, just to avoid that whole situation!

that's pretty fancy of Hamilton to mail decisions priority... they will definitely be here by the 15th then, i'm guessing. oh man.

My daughter received her ED II letter last year on February 15. It was in a regular business envelope (#10, 4 1/8" x 9 1/2".) The only paper in the envelope was the acceptances letter and 1 or 2 other pages, I just can't remember what they were. The letter did not come priority mail; I think that might have just been for the international students.

I figure if I don't get in I'll just brush it off...no point crying over it. (just screaming angrily for a minute and then eating cookies) haha.

Last year's forum is visible if you click on "text only" at the bottom of the Hamilton screen.

OMG so you are telling me that I could have the anger of a small envelope only to open it and discover it is a yes? Yikes...that's a double mind game of horror.

But thanks for the insight. lol

yea, hopefully the cookie-therapy approach will work for me too :-D

We were told that EDI Decisions were to be made "by" Dec 15. I was hoping that maybe I would hear before then, but I learned that the decisions were sent out by the school on the 15th. They were sent USPS Express Mail (guaranteed 2 day delivery). I did not receive mine until Sat, Dec 17th. It was excruciating waiting for it! By the way, my acceptance letter came in a thin, 8.5" x 11" USPS envelope containing 2 sheets of paper. When I opened the envelope and saw a Hamilton windshield sticker inside, I knew I was in. Good luck to everyone, please keep me posted!

ok, so basically I'm not going to count on anything. Because everyone says something different.

yes, this is getting a little frustrating. i really want to believe the admissions office though; they said letters would be sent before the 15th, so we get them ON the 15th, especially those of us who live nearby. I hope this is true... I'm leaving for vacation on the 17th and can't bear to wait another week!

I think the admissions office is the best authority. I am sure we will get it by the 15th. But who knows how it will come....big envelope, small envelope, priority mail????

don't know how real this is, but my older sister applied two years ago and was rejected, and she received her letter a day or two after the "notification date". her friend, who was accepted, received her packet on the "notification date" because it was sent priority.

when i said "how real this is", i meant to say "realistic"...i'm not sure if it was just a fluke that my sister got hers later or not!

I've heard! I started a new thread...post!
:-)

rejected... good luck to everyone else though, enjoy hamilton :)

hey i havent been in any of this thread but i decided to check things out..i got accepted for edII..found out today :)

there are few words one can say but i offer you this one; sorry....its the best i can do cos i cant imagine how u feel. Anyways, its there loss but do let me know what type of envelope in came in (the rejection letter i mean). was it a normal hamilton headed envelope or what??? it would help me prepare for the worst.

warmest regards Dude.

my earlier message were to those rejected. Could let me know please!!!

the fun fun rejection letter came in a regular white business envelope, and you can sort of tell just by holding it that theres no car sticker or anything nice like that in it. it will feel evil, hah.

has anyone heard any success/failure stories about people who appealed their admissions decisions?? thanks :)
